These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "you," or "your") and Coryn AI ("Coryn AI," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Coryn AI website, software development kit ("SDK"), dashboard, application programming interfaces, and related session replay, crash investigation, and analytics services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, installing the SDK, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity, in which case "you" refers to that entity. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
Coryn AI provides a secure session replay platform that reconstructs a visual representation of a user's interaction with Customer's application based on pixel data captured from the drawing buffers of individual application windows, rather than through screenshots or screen recordings. The Service is designed to give developers, quality assurance teams, and product managers the contextual information necessary to identify, reproduce, and resolve software defects, crashes, and unexpected application behavior.
The Service includes, without limitation: (a) the SDK, which is integrated into Customer's application to capture layout, contextual, and diagnostic data; (b) the Coryn AI dashboard, through which Customer may view, search, filter, and manage session replays and related data; (c) documentation and support resources; and (d) any integrations Coryn AI may offer with third-party crash reporting, analytics, or feature-flagging platforms.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, and you agree to notify Coryn AI promptly of any unauthorized access or use.
Coryn AI reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that provides false or misleading registration information, or that is used in a manner inconsistent with these Terms.
3. Session Recording: How It Works and Why It Matters
Session recording is central to the Service, and Customer's understanding of how it operates is essential to the lawful and responsible use of the Service. Customer acknowledges and agrees to the following:
● Pixel-based capture, not screenshots. Coryn AI's SDK captures pixel data from the drawing buffers of individual windows belonging to Customer's application and uses that data to reconstruct the application state for session replay. On certain older Android versions, Coryn AI may instead reconstruct supported UI elements using bitmap or image-based rendering. Coryn AI does not capture raw screenshots or video of the device screen. The SDK captures only windows belonging to Customer's application and does not capture content rendered by other applications or other external windows.
● Privacy-preserving by design. Because session replays are reconstructed from pixel data captured only from drawing buffers of windows belonging to Customer's application, rather than from screenshots or screen recordings of the device display, content rendered outside Customer's application is not captured as part of the replay. Sensitive content that Customer has properly configured for exclusion (see Section 4) is protected through Coryn AI's masking and exclusion mechanisms and cannot be visually exposed through a replay in the way it could be with a traditional screen-recording tool.
● Fail-safe discard mechanism. Where the SDK is unable to confirm with confidence that designated sensitive UI elements have been correctly excluded from a given capture, that capture will be discarded automatically and will not be transmitted to or stored on Coryn AI's servers. This fail-safe operates as an additional safeguard and does not relieve Customer of its own configuration and disclosure obligations under Section 4.
● Contextual metadata. Recordings may be enriched with contextual and diagnostic information, including device model, operating system and application version, network connectivity state, screen orientation, memory state, feature flag values, and any custom metadata Customer chooses to attach (such as screen names, user identifiers, or application state).
● Deletion rights. Customer may request the permanent deletion of any individual session recording, or of all session recordings associated with its account, from Coryn AI's servers at any time, subject to Section 8 (Data Retention) of the Privacy Policy and any applicable legal retention obligations.
Given the sensitivity inherent in recording end-user interactions with an application, Customer acknowledges that session recording is a core, non-incidental feature of the Service, and that its proper configuration is a shared responsibility between Coryn AI and Customer as described in Section 4 below.
4. Customer Responsibilities
As between Coryn AI and Customer, Customer is solely responsible for its own application, for the end users of that application, and for ensuring that its use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, including data protection and privacy laws. Without limiting the foregoing, Customer agrees to:
● Provide adequate notice to, and where required by applicable law obtain valid consent from, its end users regarding the collection of session replay and related diagnostic data through the Service;
● Correctly configure the SDK's masking and exclusion capabilities to prevent the capture of passwords, payment information, private messages, government identifiers, health information, or any other sensitive or regulated data that Customer does not wish to be captured;
● Refrain from intentionally circumventing, disabling, or misconfiguring privacy or masking controls in a manner designed to capture data Coryn AI's fail-safe mechanisms are intended to protect;
● Maintain accurate representations to its end users and any applicable regulators regarding its use of the Service; and
● Ensure that its use of the Service does not infringe upon or violate the rights of any third party, including privacy, intellectual property, or consumer protection rights.
Coryn AI is not responsible for Customer's failure to properly configure the Service or to provide legally required notices or consents to its end users.
5. Subscription Plans, Pricing, and Billing
Coryn AI offers the Service under multiple subscription plans, which may include a free tier with limited monthly session volume and one or more paid tiers (including, where applicable, Starter, Growth, and Enterprise plans) offering higher session volumes, extended data retention, additional features, and dedicated support. Current plan details and pricing are published on the Coryn AI website or otherwise made available to Customer and are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Fees are based on Customer's selected plan and actual usage of the Service (including, where applicable, the volume of sessions recorded, stored, or processed). Coryn AI may modify its pricing or plan structure from time to time, with notice provided to Customer prior to the effective date of any change for existing subscriptions. Unless otherwise stated, fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected by Customer), are non-refundable except as required by law, and are exclusive of applicable taxes, which Customer is responsible for paying.
If Customer's usage exceeds the limits of its selected plan, Coryn AI may, at its discretion, (a) restrict or throttle further data collection until the next billing cycle, (b) automatically bill Customer for overage usage at then-current rates, or (c) require Customer to upgrade to a higher-tier plan to continue uninterrupted service.
5.1 Monitoring of Usage and Investigation of Unusual Activity
Because the Service is priced according to usage and is designed to operate at scale across many customer applications, Coryn AI actively monitors account-level usage patterns as part of its billing integrity, security, and abuse-prevention practices. Coryn AI reserves the right to investigate any usage or account activity that appears unusual, anomalous, or inconsistent with a Customer's disclosed use case, plan, or historical usage pattern, including but not limited to: sudden or extreme spikes in session volume, patterns suggestive of automated or non-human traffic, attempts to circumvent plan limits or masking controls, suspected credential sharing across accounts, or activity that otherwise suggests fraud, abuse, or a violation of these Terms.
Where such an investigation is warranted, Coryn AI may request additional information from Customer, temporarily suspend or throttle affected functionality pending resolution, adjust billing to reflect actual usage, or take any other action reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, security, and availability of the Service for all customers. Coryn AI will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify Customer of any such investigation or resulting action, except where doing so would compromise a security or fraud investigation.
6. Intellectual Property
Coryn AI and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including the SDK, dashboard, documentation, and all underlying software, technology, and trademarks. Subject to Customer's compliance with these Terms, Coryn AI grants Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to integrate the SDK into its application and to access and use the dashboard solely for Customer's internal business purposes during the term of its subscription.
As between the parties, Customer retains all right, title, and interest in and to Customer's application, Customer's end-user data, and any custom metadata Customer configures the Service to capture ("Customer Data"). Customer grants Coryn AI a limited license to process Customer Data solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
7. Third-Party Integrations
The Service may integrate with third-party platforms selected by Customer, such as crash reporting, analytics, or feature-flagging tools. Coryn AI is not responsible for the practices, availability, or performance of any third-party platform, and Customer's use of such integrations is subject to the applicable third party's own terms and privacy practices.
8. Confidentiality
Each party may have access to non-public business, technical, or product information of the other party ("Confidential Information"). Each party agrees to use the other party's Confidential Information solely to perform its obligations under these Terms, and to protect it with the same degree of care it uses to protect its own confidential information of a similar nature, but in no event with less than reasonable care. This Section does not apply to information that is or becomes publicly available through no fault of the receiving party, was rightfully known prior to disclosure, or is independently developed without use of the disclosing party's Confidential Information.
9. Data Security
Coryn AI implements administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data processed through the Service, consistent with industry practice. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and Coryn AI cannot guarantee absolute security. Additional detail regarding Coryn AI's data handling and security practices is set forth in the Privacy Policy.
10. Term, Suspension, and Termination
These Terms remain in effect for as long as Customer maintains an account or otherwise uses the Service. Coryn AI may suspend or terminate Customer's access to the Service, in whole or in part, if Customer breaches these Terms, fails to pay applicable fees when due, poses a security risk to the Service or other customers, or as otherwise permitted under Section 5.1. Customer may terminate its account at any time by following the cancellation process made available through the dashboard or by contacting Coryn AI.
Upon termination, Customer's right to access the Service will immediately cease. Coryn AI will handle any retained data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 14) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Coryn AI does not warrant that session replays will capture every event or condition relevant to diagnosing any particular issue.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Coryn AI and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Coryn AI's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms will not exceed the amounts paid by Customer to Coryn AI for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Indemnification
Customer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Coryn AI and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Customer's use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) Customer's failure to provide legally required notices or obtain consents from its end users; (c) Customer's misconfiguration of masking or privacy controls; or (d) Customer's violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Coryn AI is established, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, except where mandatory local consumer protection or data protection law requires otherwise. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
15. Changes to These Terms
Coryn AI may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, legal or regulatory requirements, or business practices. Where changes are material, Coryn AI will provide reasonable advance notice, such as by email or through the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order forms or plan-specific terms agreed between the parties, constitute the entire agreement between Customer and Coryn AI regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Coryn AI's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later. Customer may not assign these Terms without Coryn AI's prior written consent; Coryn AI may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
